Reports from Italy have suggested that Norwich are chasing Lazio defender Michael Ciani with the view to taking him on loan for the rest of the season. Its a potential move that makes a lot of sense, given the need at Carrow Road for an experienced defensive head. Lazio may also be keen to allow their French defender out because he certainly isnt a certain starter in Serie A for them. Ciani has played the majority of his domestic football in France, so there is every reason to think that he would be a compatible partner for Sebastien Bassong; he also has that sort of physical presence that could come in very useful for the Canaries in the rest of the season. The player has started 10 games in Serie A this season, and a further four in the Europa League, so certainly has been involved at times; his league form has been decent enough with 1.9 tackles, 2.5 interceptions and 6.1 clearances as well as scoring a goal and recorded an average rating of 6.93. The players form in Europe has been similar with 1 tackle, 2 interceptions 6.5 clearances as well as an average rating of 7.21.
