Norwich City Transfers: 5 Central Defenders To Partner Sebastien Bassong

2. Michael Ciani (Lazio)

Reports from Italy have suggested that Norwich are chasing Lazio defender Michael Ciani with the view to taking him on loan for the rest of the season. It€™s a potential move that makes a lot of sense, given the need at Carrow Road for an experienced defensive head. Lazio may also be keen to allow their French defender out because he certainly isn€™t a certain starter in Serie A for them. Ciani has played the majority of his domestic football in France, so there is every reason to think that he would be a compatible partner for Sebastien Bassong; he also has that sort of physical presence that could come in very useful for the Canaries in the rest of the season. The player has started 10 games in Serie A this season, and a further four in the Europa League, so certainly has been involved at times; his league form has been decent enough with 1.9 tackles, 2.5 interceptions and 6.1 clearances as well as scoring a goal and recorded an average rating of 6.93. The player€™s form in Europe has been similar with 1 tackle, 2 interceptions 6.5 clearances as well as an average rating of 7.21.
