New Zealand defender Winston Reid obviously plays a critical role in that strong defensive unit with an average rating 7.52, making him the 12th most consistent player in the league. And in terms of central defenders, no player has performed better than Reid. The player has also scored a goal and played in only 10 of West Hams 16 league games showing a level of efficiency to his performances. Reid is now 25 years old and has made over 80 appearances for the London club, but may be tempted by a move away if he feels West Ham are moving in the wrong direction. The player previously played domestic football in Denmark a country that he also played youth international football with - but, he has since made 17 appearances for the New Zealand national team. Whatever happens in January, it seems likely that he will want to continue his education in the Premier League.
