While you wouldn't find that season's Sunderland kit on his shelves, it was certainly a very nice kit from Umbro. They stuck to the simple red and white formula, but the two black 'swooshes' on either shoulder immeasurably improved the kit, adding a modern twist and separating it from the others. Again, Umbro did a fine job with the shirt, but the sponsor let it down.
