7. Mo Farah Everyone's favourite Olympian Mo Farah is loved by everyone, on and off the track and his inclusion to the shortlist for a third year in a row has come as no shock, where he will be looking to beat his third place from 2011, a position he is not used to on the track. Farah was without a doubt the poster boy from the 2012 Games and hasn't looked back since then. The Somalian born runner broke the European 1500m record in Monaco with a time of 3:28:81, which made him the sixth fastest man ever for that distance. And the record breaking didn't stop there, having broken records at the Anniversary Games, The New Orleans half marathon and beat his own record at the Great North Run. But his highlight from 2013 has to be his win in Moscow at the World Championships, which saw him win gold in the 5000m, before being described as 'Britain's fastest ever athlete' by commentator Brendan Foster. Farah was one of the favourites last year after the double gold medal win at London 2012, but he faces stiff competition this year and would be surprising to see him win the award, which must be the only thing he hasn't won yet.
