Spurs Transfers: 6 Must-Sign Players And How They'd Fit In
1. Christian Eriksen (Ajax)
Who is he? Eriksen is a 21 year old Danish midfielder who plays for Ajax and has already firmly established himself at international level - having earned 34 caps, scoring 2 goals. How would he fit in? He would be a much more versatile alternative to Aaron Lennon, playing in a trio behind the lone striker. This would enable Lennon to rotate and occasionally play as an impact substitute - which is something he can be very effective as, given his electric pace. Spurs are reportedly already tracking the midfield maestro, along with other English clubs such as Liverpool, and could have a fight on their hands to land him, but he would be a fantastic signing who wouldn't put too much of a dent in the bank balance. With these signings, this would give Spurs a matchday squad that could look a little bit like this:Starting XI Lloris Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Baines Sandro, Moutinho Eriksen, Dembele, Bale Benteke

Subs: Friedel, Dawson, Kaboul, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Defoe, Eder.
And - even after the potential sales of the likes of Benoit Assou-Ekotto (who Andre Villas-Boas doesn't seem to be a fan of) and Emmanuel Adebayor (whose attitude and form for most of this season has been atrocious) there would still be some good players missing out, who could be rotated from week to week - such as Kyle Naughton, the potentially brilliant Tom Carroll, Andros Townsend, Lewis Holtby, Clint Dempsey and up and comers such as Cristian Ceballos.
