Many people had been suggesting that Lewis Holtby, along with the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, could be on the way out of Spurs following the influx of midfielders - even if it was just on a season-long loan - but on this evidence he'll be potentially starting in the North London derby on Sunday. Holtby was outstanding against Dinamo Tbilisi. His work-rate was unparalleled, his passing was direct and purposeful and he topped his performance off with his first goal from the club - a stunning 20 yard effort with his weaker right foot that rattled the crossbar before bouncing in to the net to make it 3-0 to Spurs. It was a timely reminder that Holtby has a big future at Spurs and, at the very least, will be an important squad player during this pivotal season for the club.
