Amid the uncertainty, Premier League rivals Arsenal, United and Chelsea have all been linked with the 34-year-old, while Spurs retain an interest. And Pirlo's capture at White Hart Lane is one that makes a lot of sense - particularly if Tottenham only loan Erik Lamela, as has been reported. Pirlo could serve as a stop-gap replacement for the Argentinian until he returns to north London after the World Cup, and Spurs would have one of the most experienced midfielders in the game.
