BBC Sport claims that Rennes want an unconditional £15 million for their 22-year-old midfielder who has been subject to recent speculation suggesting he would make a move to the Premier League this summer, with Spurs and rivals Arsenal thought to be his biggest admirers. BBC sport claim that Rennes have responded to Spurs' written offer by suggesting face-to-face talks between the two clubs. They also report that another Premier League club is interested in bringing M'Vila to England but that the unnamed club is not Arsenal. BBC Sport claim that reports in France suggest Newcastle and Everton could be interested in signing him. So far, BBC Sport understands, M'Vila has turned down offers to join Zenit St Petersburg and Shakhtar Donetsk but as of right now, Tottenham's offer is the only one on the table. M'Vila played in Rennes' 3-2 victory over Bastia on Saturday and BBC Sport understands that the midfielder had hoped to travel to London early this week to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical before the transfer window slams shut on Friday, but the transfer has not developed as quickly as expected. With Luka Modric having left White Hart Lane on Monday to join Real Madrid for a reported fee of £33 million, Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas now has added funds that he could be looking to spend on replacements. M€™Villa has scored twice in his 110 appearances for Rennes, including an impressive run last season playing 61 games for Rennes and France, featuring in three of his country's four Euro 2012 matches.
