UFC: 5 Reasons Daniel Cormier Is A Threat To Jon Jones

There are a lot of good wrestlers in the UFC, but perhaps none are as good as Daniel Cormier. He made it to the semi-finals of the 2004 Olympic games, only to lose, and go on to lose the Bronze medal match due to a strange quirk in Olympic wrestling scoring that means a match goes into overtime based on the wrestlers scores over the length of the tournament - which meant that Cormier, up 1-0 in regulation time, had to fight in overtime, and wound up losing. In 2008 Cormier made it to the games again (they were held in Beijing), only to be forced to drop out due to well-documented weight cutting issues. What was never at issue, however, was the quality of his wrestling. To sum it all up: Cormier is a high school wrestling champ, NCAA Division I wrestling champ, All-American, KOTC heavyweight champ, Strikeforce heavyweight champ... the man owns a lot of gold, and almost medalled at the Olympics. Make no mistake - Daniel Cormier is a real threat to Jon Jones.
