The ground game. It's something Fabricio Werdum excels at. Without any hyperbole, he is the best Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner in the UFC's heavyweight division, and possibly in the entire promotion. Mark Hunt, meanwhile (and we say this with a fair bit of hyperbole) is just a step short of a helpless turtle on his back, trying awkwardly to turn over and get back to his feet. Okay, so again, we're being a bit silly with that analogy, but the ground game seriously favours Werdum. If the Brazilian can get the big man to the ground, the fight would appear to be very lopsided. Fighters like Alistair Overeem have refused to engage Werdum on the ground for that very reason. In the Overeem fight, the result was an ugly, boring bout that had fans booing and heckling the action, or lack thereof. Could we see something similar here? It's doubtful, as Hunt generally aims to please, but he still needs to be wary of Werdum's ground skills, as they are simply in another league from his own. We'd love Hunt to win.
