West Ham Transfers: 5 Central Defenders To Target From The Championship

2. Jack Hobbs (Nottingham Forest)

Jack Hobbs was pegged to be destined for big things when he was a Liverpool player earlier in his career, but things haven€™t quite worked out in the way that a lot of people expected them to. The player is now on the books of Hull City, but currently on loan at Nottingham Forest where he is putting in some excellent performances. In terms of stats, Hobbs has 1.6 tackles, 2 interceptions, 12.4 clearances and 0.9 blocked shots in every game that he plays in; he has also provided a goal and an assist this season. Again, West Ham will have to wonder why the player is not getting games in the Hull City first team. Given his age, one has to assume that it€™s because the player isn€™t deemed good enough to play to a high enough level in the Premier League. Nevertheless, his form this season in the Championship plus the fact that Liverpool once felt that he was worth a look makes me think there must be something there. Also, sometimes players are just a better fit for different clubs depending on the different options available at given club. For instance, players may not get games simply because they are too similar to other players at the club.
