6. Marco Materazzi To Zinedine Zidane

When an insult leads to sending off one of the greatest players ever in the World Cup final, you know something rather quite nasty was said.

After a slight scuffle, Zidane sarcastically offered to give Materazzi his shirt, to which Materazzi replied: Preferisco la pattern di tua sorella or I prefer the whore that is your sister.

In response, Zidane delivered a stunning headbutt to the the heart of Materazzi and was subsequently sent off.

At least the Frenchman got to keep his shirt.
