Over the summer, Arsenal came in with a huge, mega-money £1 and £40 million bid for Suarez, which Liverpool flatly rejected. And now that he has committed his future to the club beyond the next four years, it is going to take a bid even bigger than that to persuade the Reds into selling, perhaps even an offer close in value to the £80 million Real Madrid paid Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo (above) in 2009, or the £85 million Madrid paid to Tottenham for Gareth Bale this summer. Suarez's form at the moment certainly justifies the argument that his market value should be on a level with the aforementioned two mega-stars, and if Real were to come up with an eye-watering sum for the South American, would Liverpool seriously be able to reject that kind of money without first giving it some serious consideration? The La Liga giants have a track record for smashing the world transfer record and have done so twice - money is unlikely to be a barrier were they to renew their interest next summer.
