10 "No Body, No Death" Cases In Star Trek

2. Scotty

We go from a rather unlikely entry to one that, for this writer at least, is the most likely one on this list. Mongomery Scott, as far as we know, is still out there, perhaps zipping around the galaxy in his borrowed Type-6 shuttle.

Relics allowed the man to jump seventy years forward in time, leaving that pesky aging process behind him. While there is a tragedy in the belief that his old crew had all died, we know as an audience that there was still a very good chance that Spock or McCoy could have caught up with the old-timer.

He may eventually have settled on the Norfin Colony, but he said himself that he had things to do before then. Despite being at retirement age (and then some, if we just look at the calendar) - it is highly unlikely a man with his skills would have sat out the Dominion War, so it's even more likely that he went back to work with the Starfleet Corps of Engineers.

Scotty was doing this while your great-grandfather was in diapers - the man is a legend, and there's no way he's gone.
