10 80s TV Shows We Want To See Revived

4. Three's Company

Though it technically started in the late 70s, Three's Company was one of the most popular shows on television for much of the 80s, which is mostly thanks to the talent of the ensemble cast. This was the show that launched the careers of John Ritter (who sadly passed away in 2003) and Suzanne Somers, and it bravely introduced a more progressive world to the generally perceived conservative audiences of the 80s. Known for relying on tropes like misunderstandings and awkward social situations, Three's Company was a consistently funny show that was original for its take on platonic relationships among young friends who live together. WHY WE WANT IT BACK To be fair, Three's Company has plenty of spiritual successors, but none of them have ever achieved quite the same status. Most shows that feature friends living together embody a broader premise, such as being a workplace comedy. What made Three's Company unique, however, was that it focused on the people, rather than their jobs. Though we can't bring back most of the original cast, it would be fun to see the children of the original characters now finding their place in Santa Monica. A good twist could potentially be that this is a group of teenagers secretly living together, rather than young adults, thus lending a stigma to situational comedy.
