10. Big Mouth

We kick things off with the raunchy teen comedy created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. Big Mouth premiered on Netflix in September 2017 and there are currently five seasons available for streaming, with the sixth one coming in the near future.

Real-life friends since childhood, Kroll and Goldberg based the story on their own experiences, trying to be as open and frank as possible about puberty and everything that comes along with it. The result is an incredibly gross, but empathetic show that is not afraid to explore awkward issues, in its own foul-mouthed way.

The animation is simplistic and basic, but the focus in Big Mouth is on the characters and their relationships. The dialogue is smart and dynamic, and the voice-acting performance are simply brilliant. There is a lot of familiar names attached to the show -- aside from Kroll himself, there are also John Mulaney, Jason Mantzoukas, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate, Maya Rudolph, Jordan Peele... you get the picture -- and they are all clearly having a lot of fun with characters.
