3. Army Of Ghosts

The powerhouse finish to Season 2 of NuWho gave us some of the most exciting and jawdropping moments in the show's history. The concluding moments of the penultimate episode of Tennant's first season gives us so many incredible revelations that it is almost hard to take everything on board on first viewing.

First there is the revelation that Micky Smith has somehow found his way back from a parallel world to fight whatever is set to appear from the void ship. On top of this, The Doctor uncovers that the Ghosts who have been appearing throughout the episode are actually millions of Cybermen making passage from parallel Earth. The moment that the Doctor declares "it's not an invasion...it's a victory" is truly spine tingling.

But the best surprise is left for last, with the realisation from Rose that the alien threat appearing from the void ship are not Cybermen at all, but instead the last remaining Daleks. The echoing screeches of exterminate are hair raising as usual, but also so exciting for what it promises in the series finale- Daleks v Cybermen!

The finale doesn't give us as much of the battle between the Doctor's two oldest foes as we'd like, instead breaking our hearts with Rose's departure. Still, it was pretty amazing to see the respective metal villains together on screen.
