6. The Brienne And Pod Show

The last two seasons were lovely in part because we got to watch Jaime and Brienne€™s relationship turn from one of mutual disdain to something akin to companionship; showcasing the transformative affect that two of the most diametrically opposed characters in series can have on each other was a brilliant divergence from the books by the show€™s writers.This time in season four we get to see a twist on this interplay by introducing something of a mild sitcom featuring the odd couple that is Brienne and Pod. Brienne€™s no knight, and it€™s pretty obvious that Pod€™s no squire, or cook, or almost any other position of skill, but their mutual dedication to honor seems to get them along just fine. Full of antics, repartee, burnt coney€™s, and that dopey yet adorable smile spread across Pod€™s face, they€™re quite entertaining to watch and provide a levity to the other stabby-slashy plotlines full of impending doom and inevitable betrayal that usually keep a high fantasy world together. The only road-tripping companions that could possibly rival them would be the Hound and Arya, but more on that later€
