10 Doctor Who Episodes You Completely Forgot Existed
4. The Battle Of Ranskoor Av Kolos - Chris Chibnall
Yes, to no one's surprise, it's a Series 11 episode. Rather unfortunately for Chibbers, most of his first batch of scripts as showrunner would have been eligible for this list, but one stands above the rest.
After a more than rocky start, Series 11 seemed to find a little footing in its second half, restoring some much needed faith in the series. Unfortunately, instead of going out with a bang, this finale just sort of stumbles about before falling on its back.
The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos is about as memorable as its name, in as much as it's not going to stick in your head no matter how hard you try. The episode sees the return of everybody's favourite toothy boi, Tzim-Sha, as the big bad - a threat so real and deadly that the characters spend half their time taking the piss out of his name.
Despite multiple worlds, including Earth, being at risk, the finale never feels like it has any stakes, and at times it feels our TARDIS team are in less danger than they are on an average Friday. Combine this with whatever the Ux were meant to be, and a frankly wasteful use of the much loved Mark Addy, and you have yourself a finale that certainly won't go down in history.
