10 Horror TV Shows That Deserved Another Season
10. The Passage
Vampires! Everyone knows them, and everyone loves them. Even the worst of the blood-sucking creatures tend to be successful, with critically panned projects *cough* Twilight *cough* still making bank at the box office. That's what makes it so disappointing when a series about the beasties is cut short before it gets a chance to find its footing.
This series explored the fictional Project Noah, a secret government experiment that accidentally turned a collection of death row inmates into vampires - well-done guys. It followed a young girl (Amy) who got dragged into the experiment and the Federal Agent (Brad) who became her guardian.
It's safe to say The Passage was far from flawless, as the compelling premise was hindered by the relatively weak plot and unbalanced tone. Still, the series had promise, especially in the visuals and leading performances from Saniyya Sidney and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. There was a lot to love about it, and another season could have given it a chance to find itself. But sadly, it was cancelled after only one.
The show was based on a trilogy of books, meaning there was a wealth of material to be adapted. Still, at least that means you can find some closure if you liked this vampire thriller.
