10. Cubert Farnsworth

The majority of the core cast of Futurama were introduced within the first two episodes of the series. First came the main three, followed by Hubert, Hermes, Amy, and Zoidberg. Midway through the second season however, the series grew by one incredibly annoying little clone by the name of Cubert Farnsworth.

Originally brought in as something of a meta device to make light of any plot holes or inconsistencies in the year 3000, he immediately pointed out that Planet Express didn’t need a bending unit, that Doctor Zoidberg wasn’t a real doctor, and that having a one-eyed pilot was ridiculous.

Though this particular trait didn’t necessarily last, Cubert’s arrogance, abrasive personality, and sheer lack of any likeability did. Even when given a best friend to bounce off in Dwight Conrad, he was never able to use any boyish charm or childish wonder to endear himself to fans.

After treating the Professor like crap in his first-ever appearance, Cubert never did anything else quite so bad, though he continued to just exist as an annoyance that the show didn’t really need.
