Wilfred is a strange but entertaining comedy show on FX adapted from the original Australian series of the same title. In it, after Elijah Woods Ryan unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide, hes asked by his neighbor Jenna to look after her dog. Ryan sees and hears the dog, named Wilfred -- portrayed by the series co-creator, Jason Gann -- as a pot-smoking, foul-mouthed Australian guy in a dog costume. In the shows second season premiere, Robin Williams guest starred as Elijah Woods therapist, after the latter had checked himself into a mental institution following a breakdown. Its a strange episode of a strange show, no doubt, but Robin is entertaining within. The show makes reference to Williams famous line, Its not your fault from Good Will Hunting -- Elijah even bluntly points out the lines origin. In the end, its revealed that Robins therapist character is actually just a figment of Ryans imagination -- thus explaining the references within the episode. Robins guest appearance on Wilfred is by no means a historical moment. However, it is an entertaining and interesting little footnote in his career.
