Quite literally, too. The Doctor burst back onto our screens and he certainly wasn't going to come back quietly. Nothing says 'grand televisual comeback' like an almighty explosion and Henrik's department store disappearing in a combustion of flames was basically the Doctor's way of saying that he was back with an almighty vengeance... and then some. It was only 5 minutes into the episode, too. Surely that's a new record? And why does an explosion affirm Doctor Who's longevity, you ask? Well, when isn't there explosions in Doctor Who? At least this time round they had the special effects budget to pull them off. And guess what else? There wasn't a (wibbly) wobbly set in sight, either! Hurrah!
