10 Things David Tennant Has Done Since Leaving Doctor Who

8. He Made You Switch To Virgin

Well, he tried to! David signed up to promote Virgin's latest multi-media offerings in 2012 as part of Richard Branson's ongoing mission to achieve world domination. As one of Britain's most beloved household names, it made sense for David to be entrusted with the task of convincing the nation to switch their TV providers but his time as the face of their multimillion-pound ad campaign would turn out to be a rather turbulent one indeed. One of the adverts was banned after BBC Worldwide accused Virgin of "hijacking the Doctor Who brand" by including references to a time machine and then another was ultimately scrapped when the Advertising Standards Authority (yes, that's actually a thing) ruled that it was "misleading" for suggesting that Virgin's £30-a-month TV and broadband package was a lot better than it is. Controversy aside, David's face was practically popping up during every ad break at one point so his fans certainly weren't complaining. Here here is in in one of them cleaning your screen.. because why the hell not?
