The X-Files Revival: 10 Things We Learned From 'Founder's Mutation'

4. Mulder Is Back To Always Getting Hurt

Fox Mulder, the man who has taken more damage than anyone save John McClane in Die Hard. From the ear-splitting shriek that incapacitated him several times in the episode, to falling down a flight of stairs, to being slammed into a wall by a powerful young telekinetic, Mulder was back to his injury-prone self in Founder's Mutation, though the episode did lack the obligatory hospital recovery scene the show had so many of over the years. All kidding aside, however, the action was a welcome addition, and the final sequence of the episode was absolutely fantastic. That Mulder's assailants - who you very much feel for, given the evils their father committed in the name of science - are still at large only helps the situation, as it would be very interesting to see Molly and Kyle return in a future outing, if they do in fact fit in to the colonization storyline as alien-human hybrids.
