10 Times Doctor Who Was Accused Of Having A Hidden Agenda

Time and relative Swastikas in space.

As one of the world's most formidable fantasy franchises, Doctor Who is always being talked about. Unfortunately, it isn't always for all the right reasons. Because that would be far too easy. The longest running sci-fi show has now been lighting up our screens for over 50 years (prolonged hiatuses not withstanding) and it would've been doing something very wrong if it hadn't managed to p*ss off a few people along the way. It's done just that - and then some - since its 1963 inception and now it's reached the point where not a single episode goes by without a legion of violated viewers inundating the BBC's complaints line with their latest string of aggravated accusations. Rumours that Ofcom hire extra employees for new Doctor Who broadcasts remain unconfirmed. So what's all the fuss about, then?! Sometimes viewers are justified in their controversial concerns but mostly you can't help but wonder if they're just moaning about nothing. Boredom? Over sensitivity? Damn right craziness? Here are 10 occasions Doctor Who has been accused of harbouring a hidden agenda for you to make up your own mind about the dizzy drama that surrounds the ongoing liaisons of TV's otherwise favourite Time Lord. Seriously, though. Whatever happened to a 2,000 year old being able to step aboard a time machine and not have his name slandered through time and space!? That's the 21st century for you. Everyone's a critic.
