10 Ways Your Favourite TV Shows Will Probably End

6. Nick And Jess Get Back Together, Everyone Leaves The Loft - New Girl

New Girl is the closest thing we have to Friends right now. The show isn't just another cheap Friends wannabe, but it does share similar DNA: the warmth, the humour, the friendship, and the themes that made Friends so great all exist in New Girl too.

So while it might be slightly cliche, New Girl is probably going to go down a similar route for its ending. It's another series placed at the point of really growing up and settling down, and we've already seen Schmidt marry Cece and leave the loft.

As the show progresses, it's only going to become clearer that they'll go their own ways from the apartment. They can't stay there forever, after all. It's the right place for this stage of their lives, but when the series ends it'll be about moving on to the next stage.

And that comes to the endgame. New Girl has a wonderful cast, but it's mostly Jess' story at heart. And it's very difficult to see this show not giving her a happy ending; it wouldn't feel right.

And the happiest ending, most likely, will be her getting together for Nick with good. They've been there, done that, realised it was a mistake, and they're almost certainly going to go down that road again. It might not be Ross and Rachel, but in their own Nick & Jess way, the two will end the series together, with everyone else getting their own happy finale too - leaving the loft, growing up, moving out and on, but staying friends.
