4. Piper Gets Out Of Prison - Orange Is The New Black

Although Orange Is The New Black started out as the story of Piper Chapman, four seasons in that certainly isn't the case. While she is still one of the series main characters, it's alongside a sea of others, many of them infinitely more developed and interesting than she is.

With that considered, there may not be a need for the show to end with Piper leaving the prison (either released or, well, dead). But then where does the show end? It has at least another three seasons to come, and it's rare for prestige shows to go beyond the 7-8 season mark.

It's for that reason, along with the fact that this whole thing started with Piper, that it seems it may end with her too. Of course that'll just be one of the many storylines going-on at the time, but when Piper gets out of prison (again, with whatever form that takes, though I'd err towards release over her being killed) there's a good chance it'll mark the end of the show (there's always the chance of spin-offs).

Another possible factor in this is Litchfield itself. We've been shown the precarious state of the prison system, and maybe Piper leaving prison will coincide with (or be a result of) the facility shutting down. Prison life goes on for all the characters, there's no definitive 'end' for them as such, but they go their separate ways and the show is no more.
