12 Upcoming Comic Book Cartoons You Need To See

6. Teen Titans Go!

In this series, classic teen superheroes Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy and Raven are cartoonier and often lazy versions of their other incarnations. The 2004-2008 TV series Teen Titans could sometimes be goofy, but Teen Titans Go! is almost never serious. Yet all the cast from the earlier series reprise their roles and Go often references stories from the earlier series. The short episodes (about half standard length) could revolve around a lost remote, eating your food too quickly, whistling or almost anything except superheroic adventure. With consistent ratings throughout its run, Teen Titans Go was recently renewed for a third season. Anticipation Level: Divisive. No comics adaptation is more divisive in fact: some fans love its absurdist humour and irreverence, others miss the older series' emotional range (or the very different tone of the original comics). However, that sense of humor definitely plays better with adults than that found in Agents Of S.M.A.S.H. One thing's for sure: there's never been another superhero program quite like this one before.
