One of the many highlights of the absolutely spectacular golden anniversary of Doctor Who was the return of Tom Baker in a cameo that was kept tight lipped until the very end when Baker just couldn't hold it in any longer. In the special, Baker plays the mysterious curator who acquired the Gallifrey Falls painting for the gallery, and it is strongly implied, yet purposely left unanswered as to whether or not he is a future incarnation of The Doctor revisiting an old face. Baker's curator was the one who informed The Doctor that Gallifrey had in fact been saved by the thirteen Doctors and was still out there somewhere and sent him to go looking for it, and possibly even find a way to bring it back. Fan theories have run wild as to who this curator might be. Is he simply an echo of the Fourth Doctor? Is he the Moment choosing another face from The Doctor's past? Is he a later Doctor? Is he another Time Lord who took on the Fourth Doctor's face? The list could go on and on and on and on... This was a huge year for Doctor Who fans, which brings us to #8...
