Another troublesome moment in Alan's chequered past, he is initially pleased to be hired to host a sales conference for Dante fires. Things take a shocking turn however when Alan pierces his foot on spike in an attempt to climb a fence. Showing true resilience and bravery, Alan pushes through the pain barrier and hosts the conference anyway. Perhaps he had no choice. After all, some of the audience had come from Stoke.
