12. Preacher

Preacher has been a mixed series since its debut back in 2016, but when it's firing on all cylinders it's a gloriously gory and bats**t crazy comic book TV show; heights it'll hopefully hit again in Season 3.

Once again focusing on the journey of Preacher himself, Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and his two companions, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joe Gilgun). This time their journey takes them to the one place Jesse would rather avoid: his hometown, Angelville.

That'll bring him face-to-face with his Gran'ma, and perhaps more importantly D’Aronique, the leader of the Grail - a religious cult sworn to protect the bloodline of Jesus himself - and a rather, er, sizeable fellow.
