Actor/director/writer/Chief of Mumblecore, Joe Swanberg is making the transition from movies to TV, with an anthology series picked up by Netflix.

Swanberg has experience with Netflix, having worked on the Judd Apatow series Love, and now he's bringing his partiuclar brand of micro-budget, improvised humour to the streaming service.

The eight episode series (which there isn't a timeframe for just yet) will examine the lives of various people in Chicago, their relationships, and daily encounters with love, sex, technology, and culture. The idea of this being an anthology makes it a bit more interesting than if it was just a regular series, and it's also got an excellent cast, including Orlando Bloom, Malin Akerman, Jake Johnson, Aya Cash, Dave Franco, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
