Needing a small guy in a rubber suit? Christopher Ryan is your man. In 1986, he played Lord Kiv, leader of the Mentors on Thoros Beta. Kiv's mutated brain would keep growing as he became older and so he hired a scientist to transfer his mind into another body. He captures Peri for this purpose and the Sixth Doctor watches her apparent death. This was all part of the Trial of a Time Lord arc, Mindwarp. Later, Ryan suited up as two different Sontarans. He played General Staal In the Tenth Doctor two-parter The Sontaran Stratagem and The Poison Sky and then, perhaps cloned from the General himself, appeared as Commander Stark in Eleventh Doctor adventure The Pandorica Opens.
