Another wonderful surprise worth seeking out - particularly if you're looking for a Star Wars fix that isn't Grogu-related - Shadow Lord is a dark, menacing adventure that continues Darth Maul's story with real urgency and great action.

Following the former Sith lord as he attempts to build a criminal syndicate in the midst of the Galactic Empire's reign, Shadow Lord is a stylish dive into the mind of one of the Star Wars franchise's most surprisingly compelling figures, an elusive monster who seeks power and revenge wherever he roams.

With stunning visuals and a host of exciting new characters, Shadow Lord particularly excels with the voice work of Sam Witwer, who injects Maul with such hatred and conviction it's often terrifying. 

Renewed for a second season, it remains a mystery how much story is left for Maul, who seems doomed to a tragic fate based on the events of the previous show, Rebels, but if a second season matches this one, who cares?
