16. JK Rowling Has Repeatedly Refused To Write For The Series
Maybe the Doctor would have less praiseful things to say about the acclaimed author if he knew that she's refused to write an episode for him. Repeatedly, too. The popular novelist was first approached by former showrunner Russell T Davies to write an episode back in 2004 and when she kindly declined the invitation (in her defence, she had literally just finished the fifth Harry Potter book at the time!), Russell took it one step further by offering her a guest role in the series. The proposed escapade was a Christmas Special which would've basically involved the Doctor meeting her against the backdrop of some weird, alien Doctor Who/Harry Potter crossover extravaganza. Needless to say, it never happened.
