11. Alexei - Stranger Things

We had #justiceforbarb in season 1, #justiceforbob in season 2, and now with season 3 we have #justiceforalexei. Doesn't have the same ring to it, but the sentiment is there. It seems that the Duffer Brothers can't help writing likeable, entertaining supporting characters only for them to suffer totally undeserved deaths.

Alexei, a Soviet scientist captured by Hopper and Joyce during their investigation into what's happening to Joyce's fridge magnets, is initially uncooperative. After a short while, however, he warms to his captors and they being to work together to bring down the sinister Russian operation in Hawkins.

Unfortunately, he and Murray Bauman decide to take a break from international sabotage to play carnival games and eat corn dogs at Hawkins' 4th of July celebration. After a taste of American decadence, he is ambushed by Grigori, Russia's finest T-800 impersonator and gunned down, much to Murray's horror and guilt.
