The series will be a workplace dramedy that centres around a morning news show, described as "an inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning" and the challenges they face. Carell will star as TV news anchor Mitch Kessler (a nice promotion from being a weatherman) who finds himself in a drastically changing media landscape, with Aniston and Witherspoon headlining the series.
