1. Hans Zimmer Performed Doctor In Distress

Record Shack/2entertainYes. That Hans Zimmer. But let€™s back up for a second. For those who don€™t know, Doctor In Distress is a hideous piece of music that was produced both as a charity single and a protest song during Doctor Who€™s 1985 hiatus (with vocals by the cast and a number of recording artists) and was so bad that it failed to make it into the UK charts. Its producer (Doctor Who€™s unofficial continuity advisor Ian Levine) later said of it:

"It was an absolute balls-up fiasco. It was pathetic and bad and stupid. It tried to tell the Doctor Who history in an awful high-energy song. It almost ruined me."

While everyone has to start their career somewhere, it borders on unbelievable that the composer of the scores for The Lion King and the Dark Knight Trilogy is partly responsible for Doctor In Distress. There€™s not much else to say except don€™t give Hans Zimmer a Fairlight II synthesiser and some godawful sheet music.
