Of course Cheers was going to be number 1 in this list. I have never even watched the show, except for maybe the occasional episode here and there, but this warming and actually slightly depressing theme song gets me all nostalgic about a show that I couldn't possibly get nostalgic about... and that goes to show the power this song has. Even though I think it is probably too late to get into this classic sit-com because I bet the humor and the production values will hardly hold up to todays standards, this song makes me wish I had been of the right age to watch this show in it's original run. It is a great testament to this show and it's theme that despite I was never really of the right age to watch this, I even have this theme tune on my I-pod and can sing along to most of the words. One thing is for certain... I wanna be where everybody knows my name. Disagree with the order of this list? Think I excluded some pretty iconic TV theme tunes?
