Who: Patricia Arquette, Joey King

What: A new true crime anthology series, the first season of The Act tells the story of Gypsy Blancharde and her overprotective mother, Dee Dee, and Gypsy's attempts to escape their toxic relationship that eventually leads to murder.

Why: Aside from another chance to see Arquette in a meaty role, and with shades of Sharp Objects, there's something incredibly compelling about this story. The original BuzzFeed article about it is one hell of a ride, and if the series can match the true story then it should be as well.
