19. Untitled Roger Ailes Drama

Who: Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane

What: Based on Gabriel Sherman's book The Loudest Voice in the Room, this will tell the story of the late Fox News CEO Roger Ailes.

Why: The story of Roger Ailes isn't exactly a pleasant one, but it should make for a powerful drama about people with (and who abuse) their power, and the role the media have to play in politics and society. Sherman's book draws for hundreds of different sources, and he's involved with the TV show, meaning it'll be impeccably researched. Spotlight's Tom McCarthy has co-written the pilot alongside Sherman, and the series has assembled an excellent cast, with Crowe taking on the role of Ailes.
