The Seventh Doctor's reign saw the final appearance of the Brigadier in Doctor Who, in the serial 'Battlefield. (he would later make his final Whoniversal appearance in The Sarah Jane Adventures). At this time, he had been retired from UNIT officially, but still kept in touch with them as an advisor of sorts.
