5 TV Revivals That Were Worth The Wait

5. Gilmore Girls

When it comes to passionate fanbases, there are few that could rival Gilmore Girls. The hit WB series ran for a total of seven seasons during the early '00s, and gained quite a following during that time. Unlike the majority of series', the dramedy never lost its charm throughout its lengthy run, and most of the storylines were wrapped up with a nice little bow by the time that the series concluded.

However, that didn't stop fans from wanting more Gilmore Girls and, in 2016, Netflix were more than happy to comply. The four-part revival - entitled Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life - was far from perfect, and the cliffhanger ending - which included Amy Sherman-Palladino's highly-anticipated final four words - didn't have anywhere near as much gravity as it would've had had Rory still been a college student.

In spite of this, there really was a lot to love about the Netflix revival. All of the magic and charm from the original series was very much present here. The dialogue was as witty as ever, and Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel delivered great performances. It also tastefully dealt with Richard's death, after original series regular Edward Hermann tragically died several years prior.

All in all, it was a treat to be back in Stars Hollow - even if it was just for four episodes.
