3. The Villains
Our villains of the week (aside from the Chagaska) were Zellin and Rakaya, two god-like entities in humanoid form, here in our dimension to have some fun. Their idea of entertainment is to borderline torture humanity, playing up on their own self-insecurities, or as Zellin puts it, their 'built-in pain.' There's no goal, there's no higher-power to please (looking at you, Cabin in the Woods), just two, twisted individuals having some harmful fun.
While their doings wouldn't destroy the Universe as we know it, they're not exactly a forgettable foe either. Similar to the Toclafane (The Sound of Drums/The Last of the Time Lords), they're known as myths, and do what they do simply for the enjoyment of bringing suffering to others. It's dark, it's twisted, it's very Doctor Who.
