7 Reasons Why I Am Not Okay With This Season 2 Must Happen
7. It Had A Really Captivating Future
The cliffhanger at the end of the series was one that made for a great set-up to season 2. However, the cancellation of the show now means it is doomed to stay finalised at that moment.
The show had a brilliant first season but much like Breaking Bad before it, it felt like the best was yet to come. The building blocks were now all in place and the characters had the pull to really be explored in further depth, our setting was ready for an expansion of both cast and scope. The show could have taken us anywhere, with Sydney's powers it really was a world's the limit type situation.
It could have been sitting her in a cave for 10 years where she honed her powers or cut short her lessons to fight a greater evil. The point is that wherever the show was going to take us, it had real potential.
The first season was a jumping-off point, the calm before the storm, and so many were just waiting for the said metaphorical storm to arise in the next season.
It will remain, unless brought back by someone, a work of greatness - neutered by external factors.
