7 TV Shows That Improved In 2019 (And 3 That Got Worse)
1. Arrow
The Arrowverse veteran has spent most of its existence attempting to regain its former glory and failing to do so, but in 2019 it finally figured it out. Though it kicked things off with the flawed back half of its seventh season, it also unleashed the first seven episodes of its eighth (and final) season on viewers in the fall and, well, let's just say that it's been a long time since Arrow looked so good.
A truly fantastic final season, it's clear that the writers learned from previous mistakes as both the reduced episode-count and the complete absence of relationship drama has allowed for an extended focus on the characters that actually matter, a significant lack of filler and a storyline that genuinely feels like it has stakes worthy of the final season.
Arrow has had more ups and downs than most Arrowverse shows, but it's destined to go out on a high - and what a wonderful high it is.
