Fans were left on the edge of their seats at the end of The Parting of the Ways when Christopher Eccleston regenerated before their very eyes before they were left to deal with the momentous realisation that they'd have to wait six months to find out what would happen next. Christmas ultimately came a month early early, though, when this original scene - written exclusively by Russell T Davies for Children in Need - was premiered during the charity's fundraising festivities. It picked up directly where the Series 1 finale had left us all on tenterhooks as it rejoined David Tennant and Billie Piper aboard the TARDIS where Rose Tyler was trying to come to terms with the fact that the man she trusted had suddenly spouted a new face. And she wasn't the only one! At the end of this 5 minutes, though, it was pretty much universally accepted that the TARDIS was in safe hands.
