Arrow: 10 Things Season 4 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

8. Felicity €˜Dying€™

Somewhat surprisingly considering the show€™s tone, one of Arrow€™s strengths has been its consistent ability to turn major character deaths into pivotal emotional moments. Who could forget how sad it was to see Tommy sacrifice himself, or how terrifying Slade murdering Moira was? But in this case, Felicity€™s potential death feels like a stunt. This point is a little tough to judge since, as of this moment, there€™s no resolution to it. Still, much like Oliver getting stabbed and thrown off a cliff in last year€™s mid-season finale, it€™s hard to take this cliffhanger too seriously. Felicity is not going to die, because if she did, this show would take a tremendously dark turn with a lead that would be so brooding that it wouldn€™t be fun to watch. The promos have been understandably vague about what Felicity€™s status but there have been rumours that she may end up paralyzed and turn into Arrow€™s version of Oracle, a role that Barbara Gordon operates under in Batman comics. No matter the outcome, it still seems like there could have been a better way to get viewers to tune back in.
