Arrow: 10 Things Season 4 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

7. Crazy Thea

Thea€™s character has always felt pretty uneven so even if her tutelage under Malcolm was rushed, it was still nice to have her as a capable fighting member of Team Arrow. That was, until she went into the Lazarus Pit and emerged and blood-thirsty killer. Her transformation into what is basically a vampire that needs to feed every few weeks hasn€™t exactly been a welcome development. In fact, short of adding some intensity to her fighting there€™s not really any positives to constantly seeing Willa Holland randomly act like a crazy person. It would be far more interesting to see Thea adopt Malcolm€™s methods of killing criminals by choice as opposed to being forced into it. There€™s a compelling arc there where she wants to be the hero Oliver is but sees the practicality of Malcolm€™s teachings. Instead, the show is having its cake and eating it too, trying to make Thea a killer without actually having her want to be one. They did this last year when Malcolm brainwashed her into killing Sara and re-treading this same plotline with a slight variation isn€™t helping.
